Thousands Gather for 'Awaken' Youth Revival Night in Enugu
The Edify Worship Collective's annual gathering drew its biggest crowd yet — a night of worship, testimony, and altar calls that ran hours past schedule.

ENUGU — What was scheduled as a three-hour worship night became a six-hour move of God on Friday, as an estimated 5,000 young people filled the arena for the Edify Worship Collective's annual 'Awaken' gathering.
The evening wove congregational worship with testimonies from students and young professionals, culminating in a message on Joel 2 and an extended altar call. Counsellors reported praying with hundreds of first-time responders, many of whom were connected to local church follow-up teams before leaving the venue.
"This generation is not running from God — they're running out of counterfeits," said worship leader Amara Okafor. "When you give them Scripture, presence, and honesty, they stay. They stayed for six hours."
The Collective announced that next year's gathering will move to a larger venue, with regional 'Awaken' nights planned for Abuja and Port Harcourt in the spring.
